Birthday Book Giveaway

Keeping it simple here...because today is my birthday, I want to give away some books. The gift of reading (and the amazing books I've had the opportunity to read) has been a treasure to me over the past 40 years (maybe less since I didn't start reading until I was three or four years old).

Unlike my book blog, I'm limiting this to US/Canada.

Good luck!

These are NOT the books I'm giving away. That part is a surprise!

How to win: Use Rafflecopter to enter the giveaway.  If you have trouble using Rafflecopter on this blog, enter the giveaway here

a Rafflecopter giveaway

US/Canada only. Giveaway ends July 24th at midnight EST.

Happy birthday!!! I celebrated mine this year by buying a house! Most expensive birthday ever. :)

Happy birthday! I haven't hit 40 yet but I do think there is something so refreshing about getting older and just caring less about what others think and doing what feels right to you inside. And I extra love celebrating birthdays that end in 0.

I loved being in my 40's. When I was forty, I stopped worrying so much about 5 extra pounds or a bad hair day or was I perfect enough. I figured out that not much of that stuff matters in the long run and I became much more comfortable with myself. It's an enlightening decade. You will go easier on yourself. You'll love it. :)

I celebrated my 39th with a trip to the Biltmore Estate with my husband and mother. It was beautiful!

I celebrated the big 60 like I was 21. After a couple of wine flights on an almost empty stomach and a glass with dinner my husband had to pull over while I puked in the street. We were 5 blocks from the house.

Happy birthday!! My last birthday, my 60th, was very weird. 5 weeks before my birthday I was told I had breast cancer, underwent a mastectomy....a pretty bad month. 3 weeks after surgery, I was celebrating my birthday at Disneyland with my birthday, which was one of the best birthday parties I ever threw for myself!?

I took the week off this year and spent time with friends, reading and going to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants with my family.

Happy Birthday, Melissa! My birthday is in February so I usually celebrate by dinner with family and cozy up with the fire, pets and books with a little knitting on the side!

My 40th birthday wasn't a very happy one as my dad had passed away five days prior, so the beginning of my 40's wasn't a good one. Fast forwarding to my 50th though (six years ago), that was a great one as my husband gave me a trip to Paris on my 50th birthday!! That was the best!! Happy Birthday to you, Melissa!!

Have a wonderful birthday! When I turned 40, I started to realize that a lot of things that mattered when I was younger didn't really matter at all.

Happy Birthday! I will be 40 in a couple of years and I would love to go to Provence, France for my 40th. As I am getting older I realize that I do not want expensive gifts, I'd rather travel and see the world

Love my 40s. It's a great time. There's not one thing I can put my finger on, but the 'can't give a damn' attitude is a perfect one. :)

I really think that it is in your 40s that you really find yourself.

My forties were fun, fifties were better and sixties aren't bad either. As long as we keep having birthdays, we can keep having fun. Happy birthday.
